We saw the end of an era last week. On May 10th 2022, we said goodbye to our camp founder, Del Griffith. After forty-nine years of ministry, at the age of 104, he left us to greet his Lord and the loved ones who went on before him. Yes, even during his last days he was calling up Scruffy to ask how projects were coming along or chatting with the board members about camp.

In our area, there has been a shocking shortage of used cars. Yes, I realize that this is not life-or-death chaos like what we are used to, but still, troubling if you need a car. Used cars have even been selling for the same price as new cars! The madness is so severe that it requires three exclamation points!!!

I was just so overwhelmed. The tree wasn’t up. No decorations. The dishes were piled up and everywhere, none of them clean. In order to cook, I had to wash the various pots and utensils I needed. I was so behind. I didn’t know it at the time, but I’d also just contracted COVID. I felt like a failure as a Christian and a woman.
