This week I got to some especially cheesy chapters that took me forever to rewrite. It was deceiving because the action of the story is really picking up and most of the chapters are 5 pages or under at this point and so you would think that revising a chapter in two hours would not be complicated. Not so. I keep having characters do things but not react emotionally to them or to the ridiculous situations I throw at them or to life in general. And without characters that feel, why even read the book. So I fixed that, and then I kept rushing through scenes without proper transitions. This makes the reading too fast and gives it a choppy unsettled feeling. So I attempted to fix that. Well see how it turns out. I did get chapters 28, 29, 30, 31, and 32 revised sort of and polished the chapters that I revised last week. Less that 10 chapters to go before this first revision is complete. Huzzah!
