The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

I was sitting on the lawn reading my Nook, and the boys were using the slip-n-slide. When they finished up I may have finished a page…or two before following them into the house. There was an old wheelbarrow full of dirt just around the corner on the way in that had been transformed into mud by a recent thunderstorm. This is what greeted me as I entered my home.
