Reading Tai-Bo

Reading Tai-Bo

This week I read A Hero’s Guide to Deadly Dragons and How to Ride a Dragon’s Storm by Cressida Cowell. They were both marvelous and fast paced and absolutely hilarious. What did I learn from my reading this week…that you can’t go wrong with hilarious. If a writer can actually be genuinely funny, I love reading their books. The humor speeds up the reading process and makes you want to read quotes to innocent friends and bystanders. Humor changes the whole reading experience. The problem is that humor is quite difficult to accomplish. It takes a subtle hand and complicated set of skills that I am sadly still attempting to master. But Cressida Cowell has it, and uses that talent to make this series absolutely delightful. Although I may have to wait a bit to read them to the boys. Not sure how I would explain the minor character “Big Boobied Bertha” and her suffocating bosoms of doom. If you have any ideas, be sure to let me know!

I promise you a crazed animal, a concussion, and a kiss in every single book...you're welcome!

hahahahahahaha bosoms of doom!!! I HAVE to read those books!

  • They are just that good. Maybe I could skip the references to all of the poor slaughtered vikings that met their death at the suffocating powers of her cleavage. Nah, it’s just too funny, I’ll have to wait a bit.
