Writing News

This week I finished my first revision of my middlegrade NaNoWriMo manuscript. I went through the second half of the story smoothing things out and adding words to clarify when the story got confusing. The story is now at 50,703 words. Now I am letting it sit for awhile while I revise my Passport to Romance idea. I revised five chapters of the second Passport to Romance manuscript according to feedback from my critique partner Jenn. I’m hoping to get some more sensory details about my setting from a cousin of a friend who lives in Greece. That would really make the story shine and I am hoping that she has the time to describe her beautiful city for me. Not a bunch of fast writing this week, but still good things getting done. Revision is slower, but it makes the story into something others might want to read so I am glad for the process regardless.
