I feel so good about this week. I actually completed several things. The weeks that I slave away on one thing and nonetheless fail to cross anything off my little list are always frustrating. But not so today.

I finally finished my full character outlines. I added things like: Birthday, height, weight, body type, jobs, political bent, hatreds, hobbies, favorite charity… I did this for all nine characters and now I’m done! Then I went on to complete Step 4 of the Snowflake Guy’s 10 steps to outlining your novel. Which was to take my five paragraph description of my story and expand each sentence into one full paragraph until you have a full page single spaced description of your novel. This outline will be very useful when it comes time to write my proposal. It was so hard to write the short outline of Overturned after I’d already completed the manuscript. I wasn’t sure what content should and shouldn’t be included and I messed it all up.

Then I finished up the week by outlining my story climax according to Jim Butcher. WhoooHoooo! I can actually see that I have accomplished something by looking at my writing chart.

I’m impressed! Sometimes things just come together and everything clicks. Let’s see, what did I do? Hmmmm, I worked on cleaning and organizing my walk-in closet. ARGGGG! I did throw out a large lawn sized garbage sack of stuff, but I found myself just stacking the junk that was there, making it look tidy but not really organizing it. This is my nemesis (one of them) the inability to organize stuff. I do have other strong abilities but that is not one of them. I do feel good about the garbage sack of junk I threw out and about the fact that I dusted the shelves that I cleaned. I’m going to pray about my closet and see what kind of ideas the Lord brings to mind.

    Love to you.
