The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week
I’m painting our dining room this week, with three young boys in tow, while the Hunky Hubby is at Camas Con. Need I say more.
But I will anyway.
I set up our table at the far side of the room. The non-painty side and made them swear to stay on the top of it watching. They did for awhile, they even helped some, one at a time, under strict guidelines. Then they somehow spilled a drink, got a washrag wet, and flung water all over a newly painted wall that I had to re-do. I banned them to the living room, which they tore to pieces, but I have at least 3/4 of the painting done. Very exciting.

Ooooohh… I can relate to the pain of repainting. We’re working on our kitchen now, and I had to re-coat boat sides of about 8 cabinet doors- making the grand total of paint coats required for each door 8. Uggh… Of course, it was MY mistake that time- I can blame it on sleep deprivation or distraction or rushing, but I used the wrong primer. 😉
Anyway, I’m quite impressed at your undertaking and excited that you got most of the painting done!
