The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week
Last Saturday, Sweet Boy#1 was out cleaning the chicken coop while his brothers were watching cartoons and eating sugary cereal. That boy sure loves his chicken.
There was a large snow storm the week before Christmas and Sweet Boy#1 measured the snow for me several times during the day. Evening had come but Sweet Boy#1 didn’t want to get the final measurement as it was getting dark and cold outside. After measuring the snow myself, I mentioned that I had made a sandwich and coffee for The Hunky Hubby who was plowing the road with the snow plow. Sweet Boy#1 eagerly volunteered to hike out into the snowstorm to deliver a snack to his daddy. The Hunky Hubby plowed past camp and went zooming bye. The boy who didn’t want to go out into the cold, hiked down the snowy road into the darkness and caught up to the Hunky Hubby at Grammy’s house. I stood in the road watching him. When I saw the plow blade going up and down, up and down, I knew that he had made it. The Hunky Hubby was showing him how to work the truck blade. That is a boy who loves his daddy. He will go to any lengths to spend some good time together.
