Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

Sweet Boy#2–I caught him in the bathroom steadily biting through all the threads of a container full of flossers.

Sweet Boy#3–Hides under my desk as I was coming up the stairs. Jumps out and shouts “Boo!” almost making me pee my pants.

Sweet Boy#1–Watches several episodes of Scooby Doo while balanced on our friend Josh’s shoulders, not holding on but standing tall, shifting his weight back and forth from foot to foot and wielding his nerf sword furiously.

But the winner this week…

I get the boys up at 6:00am to get ready for school. I have to get all 3 boys up because the Hunky Hubby was visiting a friend and could not stay with Sweet Boy#3. I run out to the driveway 10 minutes before we had to leave in order to pre-heat out car. But the car was gone! The Hunky Hubby had it and I forgot. So I told the boys to finish their lunches and ran down to my grandparents house to borrow their car. They were asleep. I found the keys and the car wasn’t starting and wasn’t starting and finally finally started up. I zoomed to the house to pick up the boys, zoomed down to the bus, missed the bus, and noticed that one of the tires was very very low. The other bus showed up and the driver said that he could rendezvou with our regular bus down the road. I escorted two very upset boys to the wrong bus and rushed up the hill my tire getting flatter all the time. I left a note for my grandfather telling him about the tire and that we would pay for it if I had ruined it. Then after I had settled into the day with Sweet Boy#3 doing our school and cleaning the house, the school called to tell me that Sweet Boy#1 was sick. I didn’t have a car to go and get him so I had to borrow the camp’s plow truck. As I was driving up the ramp to get onto Hwy 2 the nob fell off of the shifter and I had to scramble to get it put back together so that I could shift and merge into traffic. I got my boy from school and we made it home, wherein he was suddenly healed and began zooming around the house like a wild creature. An amazing day to say the least.
