Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

Sweet Boy#2–Is upset because all the little girls at school call him “Candy”. It must be because he is so sweet. But this is little consolation when one is five.

Sweet Boy#2–Sucked his lips with the vacuum hose.

The boys turned craft beads into “Space Probes”.

Sweet Boy#2–Told me that a herd of little girls keep bringing different friends to him and asking if he likes them. He cautioned me not to tell the girls that he says “yes” about every single girl…lest their feelings be hurt.

The winner this week: I had to carry Sweet Boy#3 into the bathroom to go pee. He adamantly refused to try. He has to try every hour or he will have accidents. I plopped him down on the toilet, but a screaming thrashing boy has a difficult time relieving himself. So I took him on my lap and reminded him that he would earn a marshmallow if he would just go pee. I suddenly felt damp and wet…my boy had gone on command, right on my lap.

🙂 You made me laugh, again. What a sensitive little guy your 2nd boy is, to not want to hurt the girl’s feelings. And did you notice how maturely he responded to his brothers getting their birthday gifts when you were here last week? His response was pretty amazing.

    Love you.

  • He is such a good boy. I can’t believe how much he’s grown up this year.
