Reading Tai-Bo

Reading Tai-Bo

This week my lovely sister lent me The Princess Academy by Shannon Hale. This was a beautiful and marvelous read. An award winning children’s book with characters that felt as though they lived and a setting that stuck with you. The linder quarry where the villagers mined the beautiful stones, the fierce and rugged mountains, the cold stone school, the young prince and his choice of bride… A good tale. There were a couple of good plot twists and some absolutely astounding writing. She is a master of words and reading this tale was a joy. What did I learn from reading this week…

That although it seems everything imaginable has already been written, a truly talented writer can come up with a new metaphor and continue to amaze readers again and again.

I promise you a crazed animal, a concussion, and a kiss in every single book...you're welcome!
