My lovely sister-in-law has chosen the topic for our three part exercise this week. Have them discover something. And so to see what Frankie’s business clad daughter discovers please click here. Alrighty then, here is my version.

Have them discover something

They trudged and tromped for ten ancient minutes before their great snuffling doggy paused in confusion. The scent of the hat was everywhere! The brothers watched as he trotted back and forth, forth and back, up and down, and even underneath a snarly old stump. But the hat was no where to be smelled.

Then the brown haired boy who always had such good ideas suggested that their doggy was not able to climb the stretching Ponderosa trunks that towered above the trail. And so the brothers looked up. Higher and higher they squinted until the red haired boy, who had such sharp eyes, pointed and declared: “Neeeeeeee”. Which as you should know means “I believe I spot some kind of extraordinary nest in that large upper branch.” Now the branch was a good 60′ above their heads but the blond haired boy, who is uncommonly fierce, volunteered to don their grandpa’s ice gripper shoe thingys and climb the massive pine. He started out slowly but began to scamper faster and faster until heartened by his agility his brothers put on the grippers as well and followed him into the lofty branches. Just when the blond boy reached the upper branches a squealy high pitched growl came from the depths of the strange nest and the three brothers froze.
