Writing News
A productive week this time. Since I have the solid goal of writing chapters it has motivated me to get into bed at 9:45 and get going by 4:45am which has helped out tremendously with getting things done. I wrote the last half of chapter 4 this week and then finished all of chapters 5, 6, and 7. I got to write about some romantic tension, an encounter with an odoriferous kidnapper, and some horrifying worship music. Whohoo! But I have also had a terrible revelation. This book is not going to be shorter than the last one. I just hope I can keep in well under the dreaded 100,000 word mark that would spell out its doom in the publishing world. If everything proceeds the same it should be about 90,000 words but that is a rough draft without the full flowery descriptions of Mexican insect life and such. With seven chapters I’m already well over 15,000 words. Oops!
