Writing News

This was the first week that I got to spend all of my writing time in my new glorious desk! I sat on the cute little stool, turned my marvelous new lamp on and off, on and off, and rolled the roll-top up and down, clutter revealed, clutter concealed. What a beautiful desk. So now the obvious question…did I accomplish anything besides desk admiration? I am happy to tell you that yes, yes I did. I revised my first chapter according to my marvelous friend Sarah’s critique, I picked about 8 names, first and last, out of our phone book and put them into alphabetical order, (which is harder than one would presume, most of the surnames in the phone book sound made-up) I researched airline policy concerning unaccompanied minors and pregnant passengers, and I cut an entire scene out of the very beginning of my book. A productive week spent wrapped up in my husbands old tattered quilt, sitting at my amazing valentine desk and doing what I love. Good times.
