The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

Sweet boy #1 “Sweet boy #3’s hair kind of looks like a storm. Because it has that swirl in it and that swirl looks like a storm.” They watch these documentarys that have a few pictures of storms as seen from space. Sweet boy #3 does have a spot on his head where the hair always sticks strait up. Very observant children I must say.

The two big boys spend an enormous amount of time this week landscaping over at the camp with the hunky hubby. Being 5 and 3 their participation was not always beneficial. But sweet boy #1 drug his tired filthy little body up our stairs one day this week and informed me in a proud little voice. “I am not coming home because I disobeyed Daddy. I am coming home because I’m tired and need a bath.” He was so pleased that he had finally gotten through a days work without coming home in disgrace after being banned from the bushes, I of course shared his excitement and promptly placed his potting soil clad self into our tub for the much needed bath. He even thanked God for being able to work with Daddy when we said prayers.
