Reading Tai-Bo
This week I’m reading some wonderful biblical/historical fiction that the hunky hubby graciously purchased in my honor on mother’s day. I love historical fiction. I love reading something in the news and discovering that I already knew all about that from some novel I’ve read. I love the little bits about authentic scenery and cultural tidbits. Wonderful.
But after reading contemporary YA for boys I had to slow down and change my expectations. Historicals move slower and savor the setting, YA is fast fast fast with lots of action. It takes some adjusting.
So what did I learn this week from reading? Know your audience. Give them what they want, because obviously not everyone wants the same thing or YA and hisoricals would be easy to hop between and no one would have banned that Dr. Suess book that mentioned not cutting down trees. Variety. Spice of life. I’ll buy into it.
I’m curious as to what book you’re reading.
So excited about going to Women of Faith with you. Praying for you as you get ready. I know the Hunky Hubby will take very good care of the cyclones, not to worry.
Love to you
when are you going to wimen of faith??
