Reading Tai-Bo

Reading Tai-Bo

This week I finished book#9 of the Ranger’s Apprentice series. What did I learn from my reading this week? That if you want to emphasize something in your story it is a good idea to plot accordingly. This book is called Halt’s Peril and Halt is our hero’s famous teacher. At the beginning of the book the author has a scene or two that truly show what a master of his craft Halt is. How when no one else can figure out a solution, Halt can. And then Halt’s life is in danger and only Will can save him. The emphasis on Halt’s skill and superiority at the beginning of the book really make Will’s task all the more difficult because only he can save the day…and he is not Halt. Nice careful plotting and another fun book about characters I have grown to love.
