Reading Tai-Bo
This week I read the first book in a new YA series by my favorite author of YA Olympian fiction. This one had an ancient society/family, an unorthodox will, explosians, cats who only ate fresh red snapper, and minors running around European catacombs with disgruntled babysitters and enraged cousins at their heels. Good times. I learned that when you are writing for Jr. High boys, being a little over the top is a good thing. And that those quotable one liners really make a book.
