This week I read The Negotiator and The Guardian by Dee Henderson. And I finally finished listening to The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. The Dee Henderson books are yearly reads for me. Fluffy romances with a bunch of fun stuff about the FBI and U.S. Marshals and whatnot. Sure the emotional journey can get a bit silly, but really I love these books. And my best friend Sarah forced me to read The Fault in Our Stars just as I forced her to read Artemis Fowl. We have very different literary tastes and it makes a great mean gift to switch books. This was an incredibly well written book and the first half was hilarious. But since it was about teens who were falling in love and dying of cancer…it went downhill from there. The ending was beautiful and sad, but don’t read it if you aren’t in the mood to cry.
