Writing News
This week I followed one of my three view point characters all the way through my manuscript. I only read the chapters that tell the story from Jackson’s perspective and I made sure that his character remained consistent, but that he grew as a person and did some unexpected things as well. I used ideas from ch. 2 on multi-dimensional characters, ch. 3 on inner conflict, ch 4 on larger than life characteristics, and ch. 30 on character delineation from the book “Writing the Breakout Novel Workbook” by Donald Maass. I hope to go through the story from all three boys’ perspective before I take a break to write something new.
