The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

Some things were submerged in water this week (the hunky hubbies toiletry bag), some things were spread liberally about with artistic fervor (a bottle of gold bond powder) and some things were worn in unusual places and used to push right through the envelope of what is tolerated in the musical world ( a jingle bell placed into the front of a pair of undies so that when the wearer lept about a pleasant jingling noise came out of his underclothes), but sadly there was a clear winner this week.

The Hunky Hubby found an alarm watch at camp which he placed on the bar thingy that runs between our kitchen and living room. It beeps a lot. Apparently this beeping causes more stress than I had at first imagined. The watch was beeping and the oven was pre-heating and Sweet Boy#2 was looking for a solution… I suddenly caught the scent of burning plastic in the air. Rushed into the kitchen and discovered a bubbling watch face in the broiler pan. Much discipline was applied to the situation…who knows if it will help?
