This week I looked at six different critiques from six judges who critiqued a portion of my manuscript for a writing contest. I took all of the comments from the score sheets that seemed helpful to my particular story and I made a file of them. Then I used the comments that were made on my actual document with Track Changes and made corrections. Next step, take my file of comments and go through the whole manuscript doing one last revision before I move on to another story. But this week I received a helpful comment from a literary agent I’d submitted to about the second chapter of my Nineveh story. So I spent a fair amount of time revising chapter two in an attempt to make that character more sympathetic right off the bat.
