So yep, I’m back from the fabulous ACFW conference in Dallas. And despite the fact that I came home to a very sick little boy and spend several days in the hospital with him immediately following my adventure, I had a marvelous time.

Sweet Boy#1 is home from the hospital, for those of you who do not know. Looks like he has Mono. He won’t be able to return to school for a bit and then he will have to skip recess and P.E. and bike riding and…everything for about 2 months while his spleen and liver stop being swollen and irritated. But it is so so good to have my boy back home!

So the conference. It was so amazing. We spent most of three whole days in writing related sessions and learned tons. I got to meet many many amazing authors and cheer my friend Becca on as she almost won the Genesis in Historical Romance. She missed it by that much, but it was just so awesome to be there with her. I had several pitch sessions and two editors and one agent requested a proposal from me! So I’m working like mad to get those proposals prepared and just trying to absorb everything that I learned. Thank you so much Nathan and Becca and friends for making it possible for me to go. I had a glorious time.
