The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week
Sweet Boy#2 is Reading! He has read 4 different books in the “Animal Antics” beginning reader program. Fat Cat, Hot Dog, Pig Jigs, and Rub-A-Dub-Cub. I’m so proud.
Sweet Boy#1 shook salt on the butter during Thanksgiving dinner and when I asked him to stop he did, in order to shake on some pepper.
Sweet Boy#1 thought that it wouldn’t hurt his little brother if he bit him through the padding of a blanket. It did. Sweet Boy#3 was the victim of an experiment gone awry.
I caught Sweet Boy#1 chasing Sweet Boy#2 through the hall at Grammy’s with a meat fork.
But the winner this week…
We had a slumber party in our living room the day after Thanksgiving. Our whole family slept on beanbags on the floor. The power went off in the night and the hunky hubby lit a single candle for a night light. The candle had an old fashioned wax catcher at the bottom and was fairly safe.
However, I later awoke to the alarming sight of Sweet Boy#1 lighting an additional candle, it was the fifth one he had located and set ablaze. Much discipline ensued. God help us as we train and contain 3 little firebugs.
