The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

We had one or two adventures with our “puppy baby” this week.

I was sleeping soundly in bed when Princess Leia slurped my face and gave a little whine. What did she want? I followed the insistent pup out to the living room. She had something to show me. She zoomed right over to the beanbag couch where Sweet Boy#1 was sprawled out with pillow and blanket. He must have decided to move from his bed in the night and his puppy was concerned. “Why is he here? Why isn’t he in his bed?” She seemed to ask as she showed me exactly where he was by sticking her nose in his face and giving him a few enthusiastic slurps. I assured her that he was fine and our pup plopped down at the top of the stairs and went back to sleep.

Leia stole the wooden rolling pin I’ve had for 15 years and chewed it to pieces.

Leia also may have eaten a Lego guy’s helmet…the boys aren’t sure, but she is the prime suspect.
