The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

The boys were sitting on the stairs holding their hens, when Special (a loaner hen from the cousins) flew up and landed on the banister. It was really slick and so she ended up zooming down the banister as though she had intended to slide down it all crazy like a surfer.

The Hunky Hubby had a strange dream. The boys and the chickens were at his Grandma’s house and bald eagles were trying to get the chickens. One of them captured a hen but one of the boys ran up and grabbed the hen that the eagle had grabbed. Then aunt Rolana grabbed onto the boy who was hanging onto the hen who was in the talons of the eagle. The eagle dragged them all across the lawn toward a large hawthorn bush that was also amazingly…the whomping willow from Harry Potter. Aunt Rolana yelled for the boy to let go and she let go but the boy did not and boy, hen, and eagle crashed into the hawthorn/whomping willow that immediately attacked. Then, thankfully, the Hunky Hubby woke up.
