The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week
So…we were at The Hunky Hubby’s Grandma’s house for a birthday party and I had this conversation.
Sweet Boy#1–“Can I have more ice cream?”
Momma–“No.”
Sweet Boy#2–“Can I have more dessert?”
Momma–“No.”
Sweet Boy#3–“Can I have more brownie?”
Aunt Kelly–“Yes!”
Momma–“No!”
Sweet Boy#3–“AAAAaaaahhhhhhh! You have to choose Momma. Either give me more brownie or more ice cream! Aaaaaahhhhh! Choose Now!!!”
The situation was suddenly immensely hilarious to everyone else in the room who was not holding a wrathful kindergartener on their lap. At least it became apparent that the boys do listen and remember what we say to them. Having my parenting strategies thrown back in my face was not what I had anticipated, but it is proof that he gets the concept…I suppose.
