The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week
This week our family went on a small adventure. Back in the day before we had kiddos, The Hunky Hubby and I used to float the river every Sunday after church during the summer months. Yes, it was chilly. But I would lounge upon an inner tube or small raft while The Hunky Hubby frolicked amongst the fishes. He is never ever cold. It has been many years since we enjoyed this tradition, but this summer Sweet Boy#1 was given a small raft and so The Hunky Hubby took the whole family to the river for a revisiting of our long forgotten floating days.
He had a great time!
The Hunky Hubby is never cold. In fact the boys all had a great time. All 3 of them crammed into the wee little raft, leaping off into the fishy waters with wild abandon (and splashing their mother in the process) whenever the urge over came them. Then they would climb up onto the calmly floating inner tube near the raft (which their mother was sitting in) and scramble into the raft again for at least a few minutes (soaking their mother in the process). Then they would leap into the water all over again. It was a very wet trip. I was…not necessarily bursting with enthusiasm. But everyone else was and we did have a great time and eventually I was glad that I had gone, once I dried out.
