The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week
Sweet Boy#2–Convinces me to serve his new recipe (he is going to be a famous chef) for Lunch.
Imaginary Egg Soup
1 pot water, boiled
3 bouillon cubes
2 mint jellybeans
2 eggs beaten
It was quite tasty, although I had to do some fast talking and let him taste his mixture before he was convinced that it needed the bouillon.
Sweet Boy#1–Sneaks out of bed in the middle of the night to cut his bangs.
Sweet Boy#2–I left him snuggling Daddy when I took Sweet Boy#1 to the bus. When I returned he was sitting on the counter in his undies listening to a CD of poetry by A.A. Milne.
The winner this week
I was at the computer buying plane tickets for our family vacation in October…distracted. The boys instantly sensed this and knew that I was determined to finish and thus was loathe to stop my purchase and enact their demise. And sooo… Legos spilled, plates of waffles tossed, several injuries and spilled cups, and a water-balloon used to create a geyser that reached the ceiling…several times. I got the tickets purchased, and then my wrath descended. It was quite an exciting evening.
