Sweet Boy#2–Momma Day
Determined not to let this one slide to the end of the month, I scheduled my middle boy’s Momma Day right away. I love this age, he is always so thrilled to spend a day with you. Just riding down the hill in the car together delights him. First we journeyed to the dollar store where he spend some of his Christmas money on ridiculous items for himself and his brothers. He paid the checker himself and proudly carried his bag to the car. Then off to Target where we got him a new outfit. Shorts and a T-shirt, both bright red. A quick drive and we were at the Walla Walla point park where we watched goslings, played barefoot in the sand, got rained on a bit, made a fort for spiders on a rocky slope, sang songs in the bathroom, and played pirates on the big toys. He got a huge horrible sliver in his hand and we made a unanimous decision that it was time for lunch. One happy meal later, he played and played on the slides, until he decided that it was time to go. We drove to Leavenworth and bought a new bus for Sweet Boy#1 (various things had been broken off of the old bus by various brothers) and he picked out a smooshy centipede for himself which was promptly named…Centipedey. Then a brief visit to the Library and it was time to pick up his brother. Another successful Momma day and the best of days with my middlemost boy.
I love your Momma Days! Sounds like a wonderful time. I love the fact that you dedicated your whole day to your boy. Way to Go!!
Love to you.
