Reading Tai-Bo
This week my friend Becca was up from Colorado and brought me a small pile of Christian novels. I read Lethal Remedy by Richard L. Mabry MD and Love Finds You in Tombstone Arizona by Miralee Ferrell. Both were fun quick reads and a wonderful way to unwind at night after getting the Cyclones down for bed. I found the medical thriller fascinating and enjoyed the story, but it just sort of ended. The build up toward the grand finale wasn’t done quite right and I found myself surprised when I realized the novel was done.
The historical romance did have a couple of preachy moments but not bad at all considering the normal level of preachiness in this category. In fact, this was one of the finest historical romances I have ever read. It dealt honesty with the trap of prostitution in the old west and I was anxious to follow the protagonist through Tombstone Arizona and all the perils that famous western town had to offer. It was especially fun to see her bump shoulders with Doc Holiday. A good week of reading, thank you Becca!
