Reading Tai-Bo

Agent websites often mention that they are interested in books that put a new twist on an old idea. I realized how successful that can be during my reading this week. Werewolves seem a bit overdone right now, but this book put an interesting twist on them, by creating several different varieties…breeds or werewolf. There were folk who could use a bit of magic to turn themselves into wolves, there were people who used an enchanted item to turn themselves in to slavering mindless wolf-beasts, there were men who had the souls of animals and acted like beasts, and then there was one guy who’s unlucky ancestor had been cursed by St. Patrick and turned in to a howling wolfy killing machine at the full moon. A creative way to turn something old into something new.
