Our household is currently diseased.
Sweet boy #3 got a painful cough and cold from our neighbor and his poor little face has been producing a river of mucus for over a week. Along with this sticky flood comes a cough that makes him stop and cry after each hacking bout. It’s so hard to see them hurting.
We have Kleenexes all over the home, squirreled away in likely places for a time of need and due to the tenderness of little noses have even resorted to the use of hankies. You know, the much loved snot rags that your grandpas carried upon their person and…reused!
Now sweet boy #2 is coughing some and his nose is attempting to catch up with sweet boy #3’s, and sweet boy #1 has been blowing his nose quite a bit and we heard at least two coughs from him which he declares are just cause for the administration of medication. Well see about that.
Anyway, that is what I am spending my time doing this week. But I missed them so much over the weekend that it really doesn’t matter. It’s just good to have them in my arms again, even if some of them occasionally wipe their noses on my shirt.
