The boys were playing “Dee Dee” in which two of them are Dee Dees (boys that have placed two legs into one pant leg and hop around the living room screaming) and one of them is the Dee Dee trap that chases the Dee Dees and tackles them madly sometimes bonking heads with them or “accidentally” smashing them into our coffee table.
Sweet Boy #1–“Are you the trap or the Dee Dee?”

Playing Dee Dee can be an exhausting pastime. You should come up and try it.
Sounds fun to me! I do make a GREAT CRASH when I fall and then worry about something breaking, both on my body and furniture or small boys. Maybe I should be the cheerleader or snack passer-outer when the game is done. That might be safer for all, including me 🙂
Sweet boy #2 must have seen me pick a sliver out of Grandpa Dave’s foot. How funny that he would remember, must have impressed him. I do remember talking to them about Grandpa getting slivers down in his shoes and through his socks. It is sort of amazing.

I love the “secret” song about eating spider webs. If only we knew the inspiration for THAT one! So cute. I love the funny, smart things they say.

“Dee Dee” does seem to be one of those gems that those in their 30’s overlook in the search for a fun filled birthday celebration. But the pressing question is…who will be Dee Dees and who will be the Dee Dee trap. You might have to arm wrestle Sweet Boy #3 for the honor.
