Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

The winner this week. We were around the corner in the office. Doing kindergarten or checking e-mail. And I hear a shout. “Sweet boy #3 is climbing the Christmas tree.” Yes indeed. He was attempting to shimmy right up the trunk. This was not his first tree related infraction, nor would it be his last. But so far it has been his most interesting, unless you vote for when he stole the fingernail clippers and “lost” them in the tree’s water…

Of course you could vote for the time this week that I was on the phone doing sweet boy #1’s monthly parent teacher conference and heard shouting in the other room only to realize that while I was distracted sweet boy #2 found an old baby bottle, peed in it, and poured the contents down the sink… I wonder what our teacher thinks of us now, he was shouting on about the whole peeing thing loud enough for all of the universe to clearly comprehend the extent of his crimes. And how would a concerned teacher catalog such an incident… “Mother responded calmly to horrendous peeing infractions, did not scream or chase children with bleach bottle, psychological questioning will reveal whether the individual can be functional in society following a 6 month complementary stay in the local asylum.” Or perhaps she has sons herself and didn’t even notice.

I promise you a crazed animal, a concussion, and a kiss in every single book...you're welcome!

I hide in a closet during parent teacher conferances. There is always somthing to clean up afterwords tho! Glad to hear your life is as chaotic as mine. 🙂

I think that male children encourage one another in the wild, warlike behavior as well as the “peeing behavior”. I had only one male child and don’t remember there being many peeing infractions. Of course, he might tell me that I just never knew about the infractions :0) They must multiply exponentially with the number of male offspring as they encourage one another. I laugh and smile and wait for more fun stories to show up on your blog.

I sure had a good time during your stay this past week!!!

    Much love to you.

  • Oh dear, if male children encourage one another I’m in trouble! 🙂 However, he would fit right in on the Christian school bus apparently… 😉
