The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week
Sweet boy #1 was getting a little wild and decided to pretend to pee on his brother (which we strongly discourage) but in his excitement a few drops squeaked out, much to his brother’s dismay. I had to dry a few tears with that one for sure.
There is a reason that my house and life aren’t always as shiny and lovely as the organizational books I read claim they should be. One author urges you to shine your sink before leaving the kitchen every time. I try, I really do. But I was in the kitchen and heard a noise in the bathroom. Oh no! One of the big boys left the door open. I hear the noise again. Do I shine my sink before vacating the kitchen or run screaming to investigate? Think think think. I rush to investigate. Sweet boy #3 is in the bathroom happily dipping a Thomas in the toilette. You see why my sink is often spotted and unsightly? Aaaarg!
“What is that noise?” The hunky hubby inquired. Sweet boy #1 answered him. “______ just blew his nose on the window.” Oh is that all?
