This week, after calming down from the ecstasy of actually moving forward in a writing contest for the first time ever, I went back to business as normal and exchanged 4 chapters with Jenn. I critiqued her chapters and sent back my notes and then spent several days and several hundred precious words fixing the things in my novella ms. that she noted. I’m at 34,735 words which only leaves me with…265 words to play with before I’m over word count for the publisher I’m targeting! Jenn has 40 more pages to read and I always add lots of things after her critiques….hmmm, I’m going to start cutting stuff and that is scary.
