This week I am editing LMR according to the helpful insights of my lovely sister and the hunky hubby. Due to the hunky hubbies reading of a single paragraph I am now changing ALL of my burning imagery in the entire book to piercing imagery. And as painful as it is, he is right. Lies pierce, it is anger that burns.
Then I looked through my lovely sister’s critique wherein she revealed the page number of where she was really hooked into the story. It was a dream scene that explained the character’s spiritual quandary. This scene makes the protagonist more than just a sarcastic fraud, but a torn and hurting individual as well. I moved it back about 20 odd pages, having the character fall asleep on the plane to dream. Thank you Rolana, it’s going to be much better this way.
