The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week
Sweet boy #1 has figured out how to clamber up onto our living room windowsill, pull out the board that keeps it locked, open the window, push out the screen a little bit at the bottom, and hang decorative row boat paddles with lighthouse scenes painted on them out the window by a small rope. Strangely I was within 10 feet of him doing dishes when all of this transpired and he was so stealthy and skilled that I only noticed when I heard sweet boy #3’s exclamations of excitement as he poked his little nose through the dreaded gap in the screen. There are times when I think a wee bit of stupidity would serve my children well. Is there such a thing as being too smart?
