The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week
Not really a parent moment but a squirrel snuck through the laundry room window, climbed up our stairs, ran into our bedroom, and pooped on my pillow!
The boys had a wonderful sword fight with cattails from the pond and then ran around beating on trees with some big leafy branches that I pulled off a bush for them.
While I was brushing the dog at the sports court sweet boy#2 and sweet boy#3 picked up all of the loose dog hair and stuffed it into the gears of their big brother’s bike. He was horrified when he discovered the dark hairy mass lurking inside his beloved bike and of course his brothers were delighted by his outrage.
But the winner this week…
The Hunky Hubby finally got the walls up on the boy’s tree fort and so a camp out was called for. All the boys drug old mattresses and sleeping bags and snacks and glow sticks and Calvin and Hobbs books up into their fort and camped out with their daddy. Sweet Boy#3 lasted the entire night and the big boys were great until they woke up to use the bathroom at 12:30 and decided that it was “too creepy” and I had to piggy back them home. A memorable event in boy land, and a memory that everyone will treasure…once The Hunky Hubbies back finally recovers.
