The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week
Sweet Boy#3–Drops the bathroom soap pump into the toilet…he did not flush before he tossed it in.
The Hunky Hubby–Falls off the tree house while he is putting in the floor. His ladder folds underneath him and he falls flat onto the tree house platform. But there is nothing for his fingers to dig into and so like Gandalf at Barad Dur, he slides backwards and crashes to the ground, hitting himself in the head with a hand drill. Bravely he picks himself up and continues his quest, finishing the floor.
The boys and the cook’s grandson (Bolt) play “River Monsters” after we watch the Animal Planet show of the same name. They spend a happy afternoon “swimming” around our living room growling wildly and “eating” each other.
Sweet Boy#1 (a sea monster) tries to “constrict” Bolt (a bone monster fish with upgrades), but since they are both indestructible…it is kind-of a pointless battle.
Sweet Boy#1–I tell my oldest to go home and make a snack. It is supposed to be a protein snack first followed by something without protein if he wants that as well. What does he eat? A spoon full of peanut butter…followed by a glass of purple grape juice topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
