The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week
Sweet Boy#2 draws “The End of the Universe” in his kindergarten writing journal.
Our power is out about half the time right now…and so about two hours into volunteering in my middle boy’s class I discover that my shirt is on inside out. The perils of getting dressed in the dark.
But the winner this week…
We carved Jack O Lanterns with The Cyclones this week. I stepped out of the room and came back just in time to see Sweet Boy#2 launch a huge glob of pumpkin guts into the air and yell with triumph as it stuck to the wall. Later Daddy discovers pumpkin guck on his precious board games. Upon interrogation Sweet Boy#1 admits that he was the one to fling the offending mass of pumpkin innards but it was Sweet Boy#2’s fault…because he ducked, forcing the pumpkin to land upon the games in question.
