The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week
Sweet Boy#2–Grabs up an enormous handful of pollywog filled mud and pasts it to the top of his head like the worlds largest scoop of hair gel…or perhaps a radiation proof helmet. It dried quickly…and hardened…lots.
The boys got to go to “Lake Day” with the camp counselors this week! And with the help of a small length of rope and a bunch of drift wood they build an actual seaworthy raft with the Hunky Hubby. Then they paddled around with sticks until a bunch of big waves came and bashed the raft to bits upon the shore…but they just tore it apart and built the worthy craft again.
The boys amused themselves for hours in the volleyball court by capturing their youngest brother in one of those mesh beach bags and holding him captive for some unknown but most certainly nefarious purpose. Yes Yes, I rushed to him and inquired whether or not he was having fun. And he assured me that he was. They also tied about 700 knots in a bunch of rope trying to tie up one of their bikes. Good times.
Sweet Boy#3–Causes a big ruckus yelling at Sweet Boy#1. But what was his brother’s crime…using up all of the imaginary arrows.
Sweet Boy#1–Spills a bottle of runny, sticky, sugary cinnamon roll frosting in the silverware drawer…he was trying to hide it for later.
I’m laughing, my favorite blogging day! (call me, I can’t seem to find you)
Love to you.
