Reading Tai-Bo

Reading Tai-Bo

While I absolutely adore the urban fantasy series that I was reading, I realized that reading 12 of them in a row in preparation for the new book put me much too deeply into that world, which is rather dark, and is wont to give one nightmares. And so the cure…this week I read “Airhead” by Meg Cabot. The premise: geeky computer game loving girl is fatally wounded by a falling flatscreen TV just as a famous teen super model dies of a brain anuerism. The mega-company who holds all of the model’s contracts is not willing to give her up. So they preform a secret brain transplant (not possible you think, oh no, it’s simply not legal…happens all the time). And so our heroine awakens in a perfect body that leaves guys strewn at her feet wherever she goes and makes it impossible for her to get the geeky guy she really likes to even notice her. I loved it, perfect for its audience and a fast read. There is a bit of raciness, but not too bad and an effective cure for what ailed me.
