Very special! I remember doing that when I was a child and it wasn’t received. They thanked me for it and gave it back. I don’t remember being terribly hurt but I missed out. I think you did the better thing, allowing the completion of the Lord’s lesson for him, experiencing the sacrifice is important and beneficial. What a caring and loving heart your boy has!
