One, if you intend to keep a compost container in the house we have an old plastic folgers coffee can that works wonders. It’s the red one with a black lid. I might even be able to procure one for you (I got mine from the teacher’s room at school) if you need it.
Second. If you still have fruit flies around put about 1/4 inch of vinegar – preferably cider or red wine vinegar. Or wine works too if you have it. IN a small dish near where the majority of them tend to be. You should probably do this after your boys are in bed… 😉 And then in the morning you will find lots of them drowned and done!
